Does anyone know if there is there a way to play family shared steam games while the one sharing the game is playing other games.
So for example if I share my library to my sibling and I´m playing for example CS:GO and my sibling wants to play bioshock or borderlands that I´ve shared to her, can she somehow play it while I´m playing CS:GO?
I find it stupid that you can only play shared games if the one sharing isn´t online or playing.
I understand why you wouldn´t be able to play one game on 2 pcs at the same time butaying. why can´t we play 2 different games at the same time.
Think about it this way I have 10 bikes and I borrow one for my sister. Then if I want to ride any other bike than the one she´s using I still would take the bike she´s using because logic.
But if any of you smart peeps here know a way to fix this issue then I´d be happy to know. Thanks in advance.
Yeah it is illogical but they just want to protect their investment. this limits buying a PC for the house and everybody playing it, now you need at minimum multiple Steam accounts and naturally the next step is PC for every user.
On actually fixing it. i believe there is some trick with offline mode and family sharing. but i am not sure how it works as I don't family share.
Almost definitely not. Not enough people care and Valve stand to lose money if they do. Something they are not willing to do after losing upward of a million over the Steam Workshop paid mods.
