Hey guys,
I recently installed openSUSE, updated it, installed the proprietary NVIDIA drivers, and installed Steam. However, when I tried to start it, it failed to load and when I tried to start it from the console, it gave this error message:
I have no idea what should I do. Please help! :)

From what I can see it seems you might have tried to install the "Ubuntu" version of Steam? Where did you get the install file from?
NVM what I said about the Ubuntu version. Try to uninstall (sudo apt-get remove Steam) I think?
Then try to install from here:
https://software.opensuse.org/package/steam
I would also make sure you have the appropriate run time libraries installed. :
https://en.opensuse.org/Steam

it is zypper remove Steam (sudo or su depending on his set up)
but yeah use the the opensuse repos for both steam and NVIDIA
