Steam controller input

What's good? So I am thinking of replacing my PS4 controller with a Steam controller. I am having issues with the wireless connectivity and compatibility. Does the steam controller use direct input and xinput or just direct? Gaming with xinput only is the issue I am having with compatibility.

Depends. What system are you using? What are you trying to use it for?

They to play games in general, and running win10. Just need to know if it has native xinput or not

Not sure if it's got native xinput, but the steam controller can be mapped to an emulated xinput driver, as well as keyboard bindings (within the steam overlay).

I know it works in dolphin, so it at least has some sort of xinput emulation on it. The Steam Controller uses its own driver though.

I did a review on it, and posted my experiences with it, over the course of one month, maybe it will give you a picture if you would want to buy it or not
