Steam and Origin Games On Multiple Drives

So I'm upgrading to an ssd very soon. It's only 120gb so It would be good for a couple of games and than I want my other games on my 1tb HDD. Is this possible on steam and origin. So I seen a post where somebody said this

In Steam it is simple and easy to select a game and chose which hard drive to install it to. Is there a way to do this on Origin?

So in that comments of that post if you want to click the link someone answered how to do this on origin so that is one of my questions answered. He said he does it and it's easy on steam? I tried installing a steam game on my laptop and during the installation process there was no option to change where it will be installing it which is a little confusing. Maybe it's because my laptop only has 1 drive IDK? Anyway I seen on another post about someone asking how to do it on steam. It was actually the first result on google and the comments said it was impossible

afaik there is no way to split a folder between two disparate drives or tell Steam to look for certain files on one drive and other file on another drive.

So can you or can you not do it on steam as easy as you can do it on origin in the following picture

i use 2 drives.

Goto Steam>Settings>Downloads>Steam Library Folders>Add library folder

Yeah, with steam you just add a library folder on the other drive and then when installing a game from steam there should be a dropdown to pick which library.

As for Origin, you just have to switch the installation location between downloads. I'd recommend putting game installers on your HDD as it would add unnecessary read and writes to your SSD. Just my suggestion though.

That's awesome. Is there any particular folders I would have to add the library to as my HDD will literally be empty. Also Should I just install the actually applications steam and origin on the ssd
