In regards to the OP's Star Wars Battlefront II image the only time you will see an angle like that is in a cg movie or if you are playing the game using a camera that makes the game near impossible to play in. As for the Star Wars Battlefront II hype as a whole well it is hard to get excited about a game with no single player campaign and no flying combat at all and they still are going to charge $69.99 and more for it. Finally as for the new movie yeah like I am really going to get excited about this when the last many Star Wars movies I saw were awful. I am more interested in the WOW movie that is coming out someday than Star Wars. Star Wars has been beaten to death.

At Least the first DLC for Battlefront will be free, and contain the planet Jakku (the desert planet in the new ep VII teaser)
No prequel stuff period. bet they may add it in DLC.
Thing is, i am okay with no campaign. Their will be Co-op missions you can play online or via split screen. however, i never touch the story/campaign in shooters where multiplayer is 'where it's at'. (well, Halo 1 i did lol).
When i played CoD (Black Ops was a good game), i never even played the story. not once. I just wanted to play online.
I haven't played Titanfall (although i still want to lol), but i like the idea of only multiplayer. you cut the fat (imo) and focus on the gametype that 99% of people will play, and certainly the gametype with the most replay value. now, whatever the shortcomings of Titanfall, (and Battlefront may suck bad) to give Battlefront the benefit of the doubt, remember this.
Respawn has about 95 employees, and Titanfall was the company's first game, which was an original IP at that.
DICE has over 550 employees and have created all the battlefield games and mirrors edge, etc. Plus they are working with Star Wars. a rich established universe. Two different ballparks, which only means that if they fail (having all the money, man-power, incredible franchise, AND focusing only on the multiplayer) then it will be a hard fall.

Which would be fine but the fat they are cutting looks to be about 50% of what Battlefront II was. So they are actually going backward in terms of features.
Yeah dice has a lot of people, it is going to be a long fall and I sincerely hope it hurts when they hit the ground and maybe snap themselves and EA out of this scummy practice.
I really hold no hope for this but as a fan of the universe and previous Battlefront games I want this to be good. But hey fools and money.
What annoys me the most is not what they are doing to the game, but the community. They mostly hypocritical, they complain but them spent $100+ on this junkware anyway, then continue to complain whennthey get screwed over. No sympathy for them but it just means that the practice continues and this games get worse.
Frankly, the moment I read that DICE was making it I groaned so hard (and not in a good way) it will just be a re skin of Battlefield and just as generic. all the impressive features like the AT-AT will be on rails or as basic as hell. And the x-wings/tie fighters will handle exactly the same as each other and will just be reskined fighter jets.
Honestly I don't think it will be worth the time, but it hurts me more that I know that EA will make a killing from it because all the dorito gamers AND all the star wars fans will buy it.
Honestly what you wrote is pretty ridiculous, infact it's plain stupid, and I wish I could say otherwise but I feel that they will probably do something very similar to what you wrote. And fill it with DLC like every other game they make. But I will go further than that, and say that because it is Starwars, that they will try and use that as a selling point, to shovel EVEN MORE DLC than usual onto us...
And I believe people will rush out and buy it, because that is what we do, even if the game is terrible like BF4, that is how these tripple AAA games have become so bad, because they realize it really doesn't matter what they do, if it is part of a succesfull franchise, and they have a big advertising budget, it doesn't matter if the game is a POC(Piece of crap). It doesn't even need to run, at 1080p 60fps, with 3 titans in SLI... Who cares!!! Assasins creed unity was a great success!!!
Also this probably is not going to be very well recieved, but is anyone else here almost hoping they will recycle and reskin alot of the assets and whatnot from BF4, I mean too see, just how bad they can get it... Oh it would be horrible, and I am sure that when we say 'oh they will probably just reskin BF4', we are actually exagerating.
But too see it happened, and ofcourse see everyone throw their money at EA while going on about either how 'great' they genuinely believe it is, or how bad they think it is despite paying EA to release it... Because I think they could just reskin it, and people would buy it. And they would make billions... It would be insane... Hell if I had a buisiness who's customers were so keen to throw money at me, I probably wouldn't be able to resist the temptation either... I mean it's hard to blame them.. They are just trying to make a living like everyone else.
Well, EA is a business. They do what makes them the most money, and as much as it annoys me to say it, the battle field and star wars franchises are just licences to print money. And so why waste millions on a new game when you can spend thousands in a re skin? They already know they will make a huge amount if money off it.
people still buy it And even pre order it knowing it will be low quality. Then bitch about it. but then do exactly the same the next time. There are no consequences when a company like EA makes crap, because they make much more profit turning it the same crap every year than they would working in releasing an amazing game and only releasing every 5 years.
Exactly, they are not a charity, we can't blame them for doing this while we are throwing money at them like crazy for what is on a almost yearly basis with many of these franchises, the same game just reskined with a few new maps. The temptation is just too great for them.
And now they are learning that the games don't even need to run well, or at all, just look at ubisofts latest offerings (AC:unity). Really we are reacting in the worst way possible, and that is by throwing ever larger amounts of money, the worst the games get. It's just crazy..

ask console people how they feel about GTA V.
I think games should have implemented features that fits their environment.
They don't have a choice the hardware wont allow it. PC is very capable of split screen. My brother and I play All Zombies Must Die splitscreen.
Okay, SOME people will like it and I totally understand you point. Maybe someday it will be a standard feature with more HTPCs and steamboxes.
As for now, if they give PC mor graphic customizations I'll be happy, as that is what the majority of pc gamers would like.
