Star Citizen is the next Battle Cruiser 3000AD

1) Everything as usual. Coffee machine broke and now the developers are in a deep deep life crisis.
2) It is StarCitizen, what did you expect?
3) They took the millions and ran for it.
4) They started working, like, for real this time.
5) Trump build a wall arround them.
6) It is StarCitizen, SpaceEngineers will be bug free before SC will release (aka NEVER EVER).
7) The PR department is a little overworked:

And last possible point:

File it under a category of "Release the fucking thing already!"

I'm getting a Duke Nukem Forever vibe from Star Citizen: it'll take forever to release and it will be complete garbage when it's out.

2.5 just hit the PTU (1st Wave), and true to EVERY update so far, it has broken more than it fixed lol.

Unplayable in 4k, not interested.

I bought it, could never actually play it I wonder if i ever will ever be. Still I wouldn't mind losing this, a game i have paid for as much as how heartbroken i felt when CCP cancelled the World of Darkness MMO.

Just hte other day we were joking with my friend who had also bought it that we became so busy in the meantime, it is likely that his kids will play it sooner than he will.

I sense so much pessimism, if any of you actually check out their website on what their doing you'd know. Just don't go in with a primitive mindset like some game developers out there:

Not pessimism, realistic scepticism.
Mega projects tend to fail spectecularly and exceed costs by a long shot. I do not say StarCitzen is going to fail. What I say is that if it fails, it is going to end in a bang.

As I said before, if you don't know about their development (seriously, go read and watch up on it.) then please, don't make assumptions.

Sure, it "may" fail but so far that's long from happening, if anyone doesn't agree with me on this then I will announce the "to each their own" card.

I know about the development of large scale industrial installations. And they take ages to even pass the possibility checks. Planning is key after that. Currently StarCitizen in some in between state of the beforementioned which can happen but should be avoided.
I hope their team is not as random as their website. The header is nice but after that it just gets messy. If this game becomes the highest quality Sci-Fi game ever, great. Personally I am not interested and am only reading up on the matter when I stumble upon news.

"Long from happening" is funny as it is always smaller mistakes leading to the final flaw.

We do not have to agree on anything at all. All we are doing is exchanging views and gathering information.

Note:
People get polarized on an instant today. Why can´t one just be somewhere in between? Like me. I do not say something is doomed nor say it will succeed to become the greatest ever. None the less, people hear/read one word to then just errect baricades for no reason at all apart from some assumption they made.
Why can´t we all just stay calm and accept that there are different opinions. Not necessary more true or false opinions, just different.
"You got your opinion, I got mine."/"Your millage may vary"/etc.. are all used as excuses today when we can not "win" (You can not win discussions). Why can we not just go back to using them as basements for our discussions?

Optimists, moderates, and pessimists! Love it!

...isn't that the condition of agreeing?

I agree with on this one, I hope I wasn't trying to be biased (being a jackass) if so I apologize in advance, I was just stating the development of the game that's going quite well for it's scale. More promising is the feedback that is received by the staff and the community which is big plus from an open development standpoint.

I'm kind of curious too, they started working on it under DX11, at the pace they're working their engine is already outdated. I doubt they can easily properly port it to DX12 or Vulkan.
