RSI recently announced the Star Citizen is going to be supporting AMD mantle.
I don't find this surprising honestly having seen Chris Roberts and Star Citizens role in the AMD R7 & R9 announcements.
How ever mantle should be a big help in the future for performance on AMD cards, and this supporting mantle is the lasting thing i need to switch me over the the AMD side, having been with nvidia for 3 gens.

According to Linus (from Linus Media Group), there should be a massive improvement (given he noted it isn't out, but he talks to AMD 'reps, so I can almost take his word seriously).
