Standard Issue mouse MMB not working

I ordered a Standard Issue mouse from the [store] about a week ago and received it yesterday.

It was working yesterday on my Win10 build, although the middle button (i.e. scrollwheel click) was playing up intermittently. After getting back home today, the middle button has stopped working altogether. I tried reinstalling the drivers which didn't help, so I then tried X-Mouse just in case it was a default driver issue. Every button, when clicked, registers in X-Mouse except the middle one.

I've also tried it on my old prebuilt (Win7) and have the same problem; no MMB.

Although it's looking like a hardware problem, is there anything else I can try? As I'm in the UK it's going to be a pain in the ass to send it back! It's a shame because aside from this problem, I'm finding that the mouse is very good.

Seems like a hardware problem... you could pop open the mouse and see if its a fixable thing or not.

I know Epic Pants has (or at least, had) an Amazon outpost here in the UK, maybe you can return to them?

I bought two mice and one had a similar problem. It would intermittently stop working; all buttons in my case.

I just sent a mail to EpicJohn giving a heads up that I would be sending it back but he said there was no need and sent me out a replacement same day. Great service.

I'm in Ireland myself so he should probably sort you out with a replacement no return needed as well.

HOWEVER

The replacement I received worked fine for a couple days before it displayed the same problems again. This is on my work PC. The mouse I brought home to use with my main rig has worked flawlessly.

So I'm starting to think it's something to do with the hardware in my work PC that's killing these mice. But how would that even be possible? All other mice I use on the same system work fine. It's just the Tek mouse that dies.

I kinda feel bad now for originally blaming the mouse and getting a replacement when it seems my own hardware is the villain. Look's like I'll have to do a bunch more testing on this mouse with more PC's over time to get a definitive answer on the issue.
