I have a quick question that I likely know the answer too. I have a phantom 820 case and a H110 Cooler (I made it fit) And after mounting the Radiator I have no other place inside the 820 Case in which to mount the 200MM fan that came with the case up top. So I was going to put the fan back ontop of the case over top of the cooling fans for the radiator in the same configuration. (Pull I have 2 780ti's Belching hot air into the case.) So the configuration would be Radiator -> Radiator fans -> 200 MM case fan. If all the fans are moving air i n the same direction would the 200mm fan uptop disrupt airflow going to the fans beneath it by causing turbulent airflow? Or would it help the fans below it move air over the radiator fins.
Additional info, I am 100% certain the radiator fans are 140mm so they are spinning at a higher rate of speed then the 200mm that was originally above it.
why not Fans on the bottom of the radiator and the 200mm on top of the case?
When I tried that configuration my temps were slightly warmer then when they were ontop of the radiator. I've played around with the set up and found that with the 200mm ontop of the smaller radiator Fan's it helps but the effect is very minor. as in a degree or two.
I wouldn't do it. I doubt it changes much.
static pressure is what u need for radiators, a slow 200mm wont generate much pressure and does not cover the radiator efficiently.
All the hot air from the sli setup is not helping much.increase the rear fanspeed
u need much more cool air in the case, increase the intake fan rpm or install more intakefans
Already have radiator fans attached ontop my question was more would having the 200mm fan up there cause turbulence and mess with the other fans beneath it as I have no other place in my case to put this spare 200mm fan currently. THe options are take it out entirely, or leave it in. And what I've discovered is the fan is neither helpful or harmful. in relation to my temperatures.
I don't think it will do anything for you. Can you move the 200mm to the side panel? The old Phantoms had a 200mm side mount
already occupied by a 200mm fan. It's a matter of putting it back ontop where I know it will do little to nothing or leaving it out of the build entirely.
