Are SSHD drives any good and who makes the best one?
Western Digital Dual drive but that is essentially one SSD stuck to One HDD. Better to get a SSD and a HDD.
SSHD are not bad but if you have the budget for a higher capacity SSD or one SSD+ one HDD, it is better as you get more storage.
Seagate and Toshiba are the ones that seems to be in the market.
SSHD's are almost as fast as an SSD... and you can get 1TB of storage for the same price as a quality 120GB SSD... 2TB for $30 cheaper than a quality 250GB SSD...
Of course that's the Seagate models... and if their SSHDs are anything like they're HDDs... lord knows how reliable they are...
They take a minute to "break in" and cache what you access most often... but yes... they ARE legit...
