Ssd won't show in bios

HELP!
Okay so I ran into this problem this morning:
I have an EDGE 120GB SSD, I have had it since I originally built my computer back in June of 2013.

Turned on my PC, and when it passed the motherboard logo (windows loading screen usually shows up), it says in grey text "You need to go into the BIOS and update your boot priority order" or something along those lines.

Only problem, when I go into my BIOS, the SSD doesn't show up.

My main issue is that this SSD is what I have my Operating System installed onto, I want to know if there is a possible fix for this issue. Or if my SSD is done for, how to extract that operating system off of the SSD onto a new one.

Attempts of fixes (none worked):
-Unplugging SATA connectors and PSU connectors from the SSD and plugging them back in.
-Plugging the SATA connectors going into the motherboard into a different SATA port
-Changing SATA cables
-Using SATA cables from working HDD's and other SATA based hardware.

Thank you all for your help.

It may simply be dead. Do you have a bootable external?

Like an external hard drive?

Or flash drive. Doesn't matte so long as it's bootable with any given OS that happens to have disk utilities (I'd guess basically all of them).

I can probably get my hands on one, so from what you read, it just sounds like its done for huh?

It really depends, but not showing up in BIOS does suggest a dead drive. The driver utilities are what you really want -- BIOS will give you basic info, IF it can find the drive, a good choice of a utilities program will be much more powerful.

Could you go into more detail on the utility drivers? Not sure I'm understanding. Thanks for your response, by the way.

Not really, I haven't had to use any in a long time. Here's a starting point from PCWorld.
