SSD Upgrade to Acer Laptop

I recently purchased this Acer laptop : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314119

This is a perfect consumer/gamer laptop, 5 hours of battery life & dedicated GPU and cheap. I also know this is not a gaming laptop, I will be building my gaming pc after I graduate.

I needed it for my last semesters as a college student, but unfortunately I love to game (BF4, Warframe, Tera) and while this laptop is a great bang for buck it cannot run high end games (BF4 >_<) that well because of the bottlenecking hard drive. Its some Toshiba bullshit HDD. I also program here and there.

So I am looking at this SSD : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E3W1726/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d2_i3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=1BHA9DG35HGAE0VW21G8&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1630072182&pf_rd_i=507846

I would like to upgrade to an SSD because of how awesome they are, enough said. I know that this SSD should work with my laptop, but I would just like to make sure that it is compatible with this laptop before I go dropping some cash on it.

Also if anyone knows if I should hold off until Black Friday or Xmas to save some $$$$$, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am also looking into a RAM upgrade as the smoldered 4gb 800mhz isn't enough and dual channel would greatly help this laptop.

Would it be better to buy this RAM : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148734

Or this RAM : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233241

I know a little about dual channel, does it work for both RAM sticks? I am assuming the 8 gb would be better but might be overkill.

That's a pretty nice and fast SSD. Would probably make a great upgrade.

Make sure the RAM isn't soldered in, and the computer supports 8gb of ram.
