New SSD just came in the mail. What are some good tools you use to test SSDs? I'd like to make sure it's nice and healthy before I image my old drive to it.
I used ATTO and Anvil for benchmarking my SSD
A regular drive testing tool like for instance SeaTools for Windows would be capable of running a couple of simple tests, like having the drive run its internal diagnosis and report the result back. A practical test like a full format coule be worthwhile too, even with an SSD if the regular diagnosis would not feel sufficient. I'd settle for a diagnostics run.
And of course, really good SSD makers have their own tools. Like Samsung.
