SSD Help!

I Really am Confused.

Currently my motherboard is a Z77-DS3H, and after some research I found out that it has 2 SATA 6gb pets, and 3 SATA 3gb ports. My current setup is a 2tb Hard Drive (some seagate cheap Hard Drive, not really quality), and a 120gb cheap SSD. After opening my computer, I discovered I put the slow HDD on a fast 6gb SATA, so if I upgrade and buy a new SSD, it would be throttled by the 3gb limit on the other ports. So, if I take my HDD and put it on the 3gb SATA, will it mess with Windows/BIOS? I have had to reset my PC 3 times this year so I am fed up with that. Essentially will I have to reset that drive and loose all of my data there?

Any help is appreciated! And if you could link me to a nice, cheap SSD that would be nice!

you can put the drives on different ports just make sure to go in the bios and change which one will boot first (what ever one has windows on it).  You should not lose your data unless you re install windows.

Ok, thanks for the help!

I think I am going to get a Samsung EVO 250! I'm exited!
