So I was thinking about getting an SSD for my games, but I was wondering if I would run into any issues transferring all of my games that I downloaded in Steam to a new SSD off of my current hard drive. I know moving regular files around won't be an issue, but I'm just worried that there might be some type of anti-piracy thing that won't allow me to reinstall them onto the new SSD. Would I be able to do this, or am I going to run into some issues here?
You should definitely be able to move all of your files no trouble, if you want to completely move the steam folder you can do that by deleting all of it's content's except steam.exe and one other file (google it) and then you can just move your steamlibrary folder into where it normally was on your other drive onto your SSD, you might have to restart steam or attempt to reinstall the games, but it will just verify files and not reinstall them.
