SSD Caching

Hey,

Im looking at getting a 500gb WD 2.5" black drive with a Corsair Accelerator Series™ solid-state cache 30gb.

My interface is Sata 1.5GB/s and Corsair says all there ssd's are backward compatible with sata I, II.

Does anybody know if DataPlex software for SSD caching will work with sata 1.5gb/s?

I plan on running Windows 7 ult 64x.

PC: M9750

Thanks,

It "should"
but at sata 1 you'll be bottle necked, its going to be faster, just not amazing fast

also you need a Z68, Z75 or Z77 intel 1155 chipset to do SSD caching

so if you do not have that then you can not cache

It would be good if corsair would state compatiblity for devices.

I think 1 drive should be fast enough.

thanks.

I got a reply from corsair support.

They say "As long the MB in that system is not NVIDIA controller and the OS needs to be Windows 7."

It must be the dataplex software that allow this. ( opposed to intel )?
