SSD and laptop compatibility

Hi,

First of all i don't know whether this is the right subsection or not but here it goes.

I want to give a my gf a SSD for her laptop since her hard drive is failing and has been giving her some blue screens and i was wondering if a normal 2,5' SSD is compatible with her laptop.

I'm thinking of buying the Samsung 840 Evo 256 GB.

Her laptop is a Hp Pavilion G6.

2,5" SSD's are compatible with NTB as a replacement of old HDD. If you want it as a replacement of DVD Drive, you need a adapter cage which fit almost all NTB no problem.
