SSD almost full, don't know why

Hello,

I have a 120gb ssd and do not know why my drive is almost full. I have to separate drives for media and games so I don't fill it up. I don't have alot of programs except Netbean, VisualStudio express, and utilities such as CCleaner, Glary Utilities, and Malwarebytes. Any recommendations?

how old it is?
Some ssd's employ system where used cells are dead, and thus space shrinks. (TRIMM?)

Download Windirstat and you can find out easily. Probably hibernate and pagesys files.

windirstat, treesize, wiztree are all programs to see which folder/file uses a lot of space.

What grayflag said, both of those files files take alot of space, and by default more ram you have , bigger the files get. Go to computer-organize- folder and search options, in "view" tab you should find option to show hidden files .

Use CCleaner to clean out temp/junk files. This can often free up gigabytes of space.

I used All those programs. My SSD died on me so I have to send it in to OCZ. Hopefully they give me one that keeps running.

When you get a new one and if you get this problem again, get space sniffer, I love that, it showed me how much my steam apps folder took up on my computer. (about 300ish on my 500gb hdd)

Some SSD's won't actually write over something if its deleted they'll write in other areas. There are programs out there that can use an algorithm to truly wipe it, though some come pre-installed with one like Samsung
