my design and technology major design project is a sort off technology hub. Im using a TV unit (furniture under TV) as a frame which i will incorporate a lot of the technology in the common home. One piece of technology is a speaker system.

audio outputs from a dvd player, gaming console, cable tv, 2 phones, a laptop and a tablet will need to go into the speaker system and there must be an ability to switch through the channels with a remote to choose which devices audio is played through the speakers.

Can anyone recommend such a system with at least 7 audio inputs?

Have you considered a receiver, like a yamaha, onkyo, etc?

A AV receiver or processor/amp combo does all those things. Denon, Onkyo, Pioneer, Yamaha all make them, there also a ton of all hight makers like NAD.
