I'm in a bit of a predicament at the moment as of choosing my speakers. My setup is between home theater/Pc so my center channel speaker must be of size that won't inhibit work space and view. So I have chosen the Martin Logan Motion 8 center speaker being of its size and practicality. So naturally I would choose the Martin Logan Motion 40 for the front and Martin Logan Motion 4's for the rears.
But i have the opportunity to purchase a pair of Dynaudio Excite X32 at a very attractive price. Much less then the Martin Logan Motion 40's. I know these are allot better quality and at this price It is silly not to go with the Dynaudio.
I guess my question is will having the Martin Logan motion's inhibit the quality of the Dynaudio's by not being voiced matched. ?
I hope this isent too much of an advanced question being that this is a computer forum and all, but it is mainly for a pc. Think of it as a PC speaker set on steroids
Having little experience with home theater setups and personally owning only a Logitech Z-2300 for the past 4 years, though, depending on if you want to go 5.1 (and if you already have the center speaker) or not I would say grab the Dynaudio Excite X32 see how you like them and then expand to a center, rear speakers and a sub. The Motion 8 center may be unneccesary with the X32's. I can't give any alternative product options, as I simply do not know any.
If I was going for a 2.1 setup then yeh for sure I'd get the Dynaudio's. But since I'm setting up a 5.1 system the center channel is going to play some what an important roll. Dynaudio do offer Excite X22 for a center speaker but it's too big of size for the setup I'm going with.
depends what you want, i have a Logitech LS21 2.1 speaker system running in quad setup (4 speakers) and it works perfectly smashes most sound devices out and was dirt cheap, few tweaks here n there on software side and you got super sound quality from 2 tiny speakers and a tiny sub, so look em up! defo worth it
