Just beat it
Felt more like a chore than a game.
I can’t quite put my finger on why I didn’t like it
I loved Stick of truth and I love south park but this game just left me cold.
Really hate to say it but I don’t recommend this game to anyone.

Was it the story? Mechanics? Combat? Enemy AI?
It seems like ‘The Stick of Truth’ with a Marvel + DC comics skin mod.
It’s the exact same game.
I am totally not into comic book movies or TV anymore, but I’m liking ‘The Fractured But Whole’ so far.
I haven’t gotten too far yet.
What the heck? How long did it take you to clear it? I can’t believe you are already done with it as didn’t it just come out?
On a personal level
I spent a while trying to think this through as I don’t know if the problem is me or the problem is the game.
Modern titles have made me more than a little jaded and I don’t seem to be extracting the fun out of them that I used to.
I have this horrible feeling that I may just be ‘growing out’ of gaming.
Actual game critique
Some bits of it just seemed grindy and repetitive with no way of skipping the sequences, like a to b sequence of events with no real enjoyment.
Writing sucked, although there were a few places it shined
Crafting seemed pointless
Nothing really new
…Completely unrelated to my enjoyment of the game.
The cynic part of me wonders how much of the game was cut out so they can sell it back to us as part of the season pass.
or if that year was spent on creating the season pass content so it could be released nearer to a solid timeline for maximised marketing / impact.
Guess time will tell.
Ultimately, as a sucker who pre-purchased it last year WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO COME OUT, it just didn’t feel worth it being delayed practically an entire year.
I haven’t played either game, but Stick of Truth was developed by Obsidian, and Fractured But Whole was developed by Ubisoft. Obsidian is responsible for Fallout: New Vegas, Pillars of Eternity, Knights of the Old Republic II, and several other highly regarded RPGs. Doesn’t really surprise me people think the new game is meh.
