Is it just me or does it seem like the gain_1 and gain_2 knob positions should be swapped?

If I'm looking at it correctly that's a combination XLR/0.25in jack, not 3.5mm. However at school we have essentially the same thing (different brand, some chinese knockoff thing, but same concept) and it worked right out of the box with Windows. Showed up as regular USB microphone, super easy. Haven't tried it on Linux but I assume it would work.

This will except 1/4 tip sleeve mono or xlr in both inputs. you should not need much for adapters

Did Wendell want some kind of ambient mic or something? He was talking about having something that he and Grizzle would put it between then. Or did then want to get a combo DAC/USB/Mic thing?...
It sounded to me like he wanted a way to record Grizzel and him self at the same time without having to sit really close. He has a few mic options so this looks like it would work for the price $75 on ebay or 100 new. will exeplt xlr or 1/4 in jack
for the industry standard mic's this should do every thing he needs (xlr or 1/4 in) this is just like a two channel mixer just with usb
