I would like to know of one of these is a good sound card for the Logitech G230
or are there beter sound cards on this price point ?

The main thing to keep in mind when you're looking into getting a sound card is you need better or higher quality speakers or headsets to take full advantage of the card and other extras. Sound cards will improve the sound quality of your system, but if you don't have the appropriate speakers or headset, you will never notice the difference. One of the major reasons a gamer(s) use dedicated sound cards is for the reduced CPU usage. The sound card offloads work from your CPU, which in return gives you better overall frame-rates while gaming.
Anything should be better than onnboard sound of an older motherboard. Some motherboards now come with awesome built in sound cards from creative. Also another thing to look at is the new AMD higher end and lower end cards will also come with sound cards built into the gpu.
I currently am still using a Creative X-FI Fat1ity card that is great and cheap. Cheers and happy hunting, dood.
