Sound Card Help

 hey i'm stuck between a Asus Xonar Essence or Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Champion

i have heared great things from Asus Xonar's and this essemce is my price range but Creative Sound is cheaper and the Champion has 5.25 front pannel box ( forgotten the proper name )


Now to make thing even easier there also another Asus Xonar but i have never seen this one anywere and i have some problem find clear reviews.

Depends what function you plan on using it for. 

Creative cards are not very good, and there software is pretty awful.

The Essense is a fantastic headphones sound card, but you need pretty good set of headphones to really benifit from it.

The other one is a 7.1 channel set, so it might not have a headphone amp, but it would work with decent computer speakers. Wouldnt use it with an actual sound system or headphones. 

IF you just want a good headset card, I would look at a Xonar card with a headphone amp. All do a pretty good job at what they do.
