Something consequent out of Microsoft!

Without agreeing with the human resource asset stripping that goes on, amidst all of the insanity that Satya Nadella is displaying in the huge shareholder blowjob operation he's conducting, there is at least one spark of logical consequence:

Yeah, Microsoft is closing it's cybersecurity and privacy protection research division, aka "trustworthy computing" division. It was a farce to begin with, as Microsoft was never ever concerned with security or privacy of users or customers, only with it's own, and it was pretty bad at that also, since Microsoft didn't even know about the NSA keys in it's own software when it was discovered back in the 90's.

I guess that means that the "transparency stores" that were promised to the EU Parliament, where governments could vet the Microsoft source code for NSA spyware, as promised by Ballmer, are now abolished by Nadella also. Well, that was to be expected, there is nothing in the world that is less trustworthy than the board of prostitutes of a US public company...

As I mentioned before, history will show that in comparison to Nadella and Gates, Ballmer was actually the good guy lolz... wow... hooray for basketball...

wasted effort, i guess.

To be fair there probably is no government (short of China) that could have audited all that code. It would take 10s of thousands of people willing to go on an archaeological dig. Not to mention all those people going in, with the intention to leak the source.
