Can anyone recommend some good power metal or speed metal bands please? I've been listening to Blind Guardian a lot lately (Specifically Imaginations from the past (Album) and A Tiwst in the Myth (Album).

Symphony X, even though they're more prog than speed, the guitarist (Michael romeo) is in my top ten for the best of all time

there's alot of really bad and bland power metal out there, but BG is awesome. i personally think SA is just wankery, but w/e

yeah we aren't idiots skump. Early dragonforce wasn't that bad actually though. they took their first album, shuffled the songs, played them backwards and released 3 new albums of the same shit.
I would check out Sabaton. They are a good power metal band. Also Hammerfall does power metal along side heavy metal
