That's not ghetto. That's the kind of cooling I had before I went with a custom loop. And if I'm honest, I didn't see that big of improvements when I switched. My CPU dropped from 65c to about 59c, and my GPU dropped from 60c to 42c. It was a big improvement on the GPU side, but I have no way of knowing if it was from the cooling change, or from having to swap my 980ti FTW for a reference one, or both... (guessing it's both since this reference 980ti overclock higher at lower voltages compared to my old FTW card)
What kind of liquid are you running through that? Is it water? Those AIO have a mixed metals. Copper block/aluminum rad. Galvanic corrosion will eat through your block if you're not using a corrosion inhibitor.
