[SOLVED] Sudden pc death. Pls help!

Hi,
Normaly i would not post something like this, but i don't know whats wrong.

Yesterday evening my pc worked fine.

Today, there is no power on the system.
Switching on the psu flasches mobo stat lights verry short, and nothing after that.
Psu fan test works. Corsair hx850i, leds on it dont light either.

Switched the psu. Corsair rm1000. Same result.
Switched power cables, and poweroutlets.
Even build a new pc for a friend on that table, and that worked.

Pulled the gfx out. Nothing.

The second problem is that its custom watercooled.
Obviously there are no visible signs of leackage and the res is still full.
Well i drained it now.

So im basically out of ideas.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance

take everything out of it and try from basics (one stick of ram ,etc) and see what happens

Ram ist blocked by tubing, im on the way thogh

Nope ram is out. No power on it

Waterblock is off, there is a cpu

Unplug everything from the mobo except cpu, ram, power, cpu fan. If you know RAM is ok and power is ok, it has to be mobo or cpu, and cpus don't fail very often.

Well
Only the mobo and cpu are left.

Might try resetting BIOS with the jumper or by taking out the battery as a last ditch effort. really sounds like the mobo is fried though.

Did reset. Switched bios.
Removed cpu

I guess the mobo died over night.

How can that happen?
Well havent checked the battery but i doubt. It will be that.

opticaly no damage is visible on the board.
No smoke, no exploded parts, no water stains and such.

Gona take it out and have a look.

By the way it was a
4790k on a gigagyte ga z97x gaming g1

And it was powered off through the nicht.
So. What the fuck?

Solar rays? Alles or iluminati?

Look on the back of the board for burnt traces. It probably would have happened the second power was re-applied to the board.

I had the same problem a two months ago and I solved it by buying a new CMOS battery and by doing a CMOS reset. After that I had to woit for about 3 minutes (with everything plugged in) and now everything works again :-)

No burned traces .

Thx gona Check the battaria

Exchanged battarias, and so far nothing

So, i took a battary from another pc,and put in the old one. That one posts. Not mine though

My Gigabyte board did the same thing couple months ago.

If you're still in warranty better start the RMA process.

Case of SDBI (Sudden Death by Itself).
RMA the board or get a new one. I say it is a bad choke, cap (the tiny ones) or transistor. Nothing one can repair without special equipment.
