Wondering what the last version of Skype was for Windows 8.1. This is the first time where I have not been able to download it for Windows.

You should probably use winget/microsoft store for these kind of things

This. Also, you are aware that Windows 8.1 went EOL in January 10, this year right? Past time to start looking at Windows 10, Windows 11 or Linux.

You should download the skype for windows desktop version from the skype website.
That version should work just fine.

The uwp version of skype is useless.
