@JokerProductions told me about CDkeys.com a few years ago and their prices are great. Last month I bought the Witcher 3 + the 2 DLC packs, a $90 value, for $26.

Sounds like Enderal. It is a FREE mod for Vanilla old Skyrim, ie no DLC required. Skyrim sans DLC can usually be found real cheap. I haven't looked in a while though.
I have had great fun exploring Enderal. A whole new world, Skyrim does not exist in Enderal. Game system is tweaked a bit too.

For a mod Enderal was a lot of fun for me and takes a good amount of time to complete if you do side quests.
I have spent a lot of time listening to the songs bards sing, reading books etc. Then going out in the world exploring the legends and mysteries. It is great fun, really immersive. Enderal is compatible with Gophers iHUD, so no compass and way-points if you don't want them.

I think you can't buy the original game anymore, only the legendary edition including the DLCs. But that's at the same prices as the original game now.
Also I thought Enderal was kind of a remake of one of the older TES games, but apparently not... wonder what I'm confusing this with.

It is its own game world, Vyn. There is an earlier game in the same world called Nehrim. Enderal and Nehrim are two continents on Vyn. Nehrim takes place on Nehrim and Enderal is on the Enderal continent. It's a fairly large game map.

Anyway, give S.T.A.L.K.E.R. a try, that should be cheap.
If you want a really open world I would recommend Kenshi. Be forewarned though its not an easy game by any stretch.

Stop whatever you are doing and go get privateer gemini gold. It is the single best game ever and is top of my top 100. Its free.
I don't know if anyone mentioned Blade and Soul but my Dau likes it along with Skrym and Minecraft. She has Fallout 4 but got bored quickly with it.
