[SOLVED] Phanteks P500A Case, D-RGB fan set to a solid color but has a different colored spot. Is this typical?

This is a strange issue. It’s really hard to search for and hard to explain.

What is going on is that I set my case fan D-RGB to a solid green color mode. But most of the fan is green but a little bit is orange. Is this typical? Can I fix it?

Have a look:

Thanks!

So. I updated the Bios and the problem persists. On a whim I unplugged the D-RGB header from the motherboard and used the cases D-RGB controller. Perfectly sold color. So it seems the the motherboard is the cause. Using Polychrome Sync or the Bios color control causes the same issue.

I’ve submitted a support ticket to Asrock. Let’s see what the say.

It is getting weird. There was a power outage last night. When the power returned none of the RGB was working. When polychrome started somehow it knew that it needed to update the RGB firmware. I didn’t even know that was possible. After that all is well. The problem was solved by turning it off and then on again. I guess just me doing that was not enough. It took thousand of people doing it to solve the issue. Cool.

ASRocks solution was to install a new (Beta) version of the RGB software that flashes the RGB firmware.

It worked. Moving on and happy!
