[Solved] Help getting Odysseus up and running

I am trying to install Odysseus following the guide on the website. I have gotten as far as being able to access the web console and I am now trying to connect to Ollama.

In step three the guide says to run OLLAMA_HOST=0.0.0.0:11434 ollama serve which I do and I get the following error message Error: listen tcp 0.0.0.0:11434: bind: address already in use.

Reading online this seems to be a common issue with new installs and I believe I can just ignore that message.

I tried running sudo systemctl edit ollama per the guide and removed everything that was in the Environment line ATH=/home/BWMerlin/.local/bin:/home/BWMerlin/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin and replaced it with “OLLAMA_HOST=0.0.0.0:11434” followed by running sudo systemctl restart ollama.

After that I went into the Odysseus console, into settings and added http://host.docker.internal:11434/v1 as the URL for the local model but I keep getting an error when trying to probe the model that it is not being found.

What have I missed/messed up? I am running Fedora Workstation 44 fully patch as of 23-08-2026 and Odysseus is running inside of docker.

I found my mistake. Using this guide, when editing /etc/systemd/system/ollama.service.d/override.conf
via sudo systemctl edit ollamaI needed to past the following in [Service]
Environment="OLLAMA_HOST=0.0.0.0:11434" in the top section of the override.conf and only in the top section. Doing so further down in any of the existing two “service” sections causes the entry to be wiped.
