Everything on the mobo lights up, the fans spin, I checked the connectors, CMOS was cleared, and still nothing on the screen.
- That single stick of RAM in the correct slot?
- disconnect ssd and try to POST
- try hitting the memOK button before POST - im pretty sure that board has one.
- tried both display outputs? hdmi & dp..
- test what you can in other rigs etc ~ could be a dead board.

DIMM was in the wrong slot. Thanks for the help. I'd never done a single DIMM build before.
