I recently installed the GWX Control Panel from the above linked site and it works great. I've had it installed for nearly a month now and no issues.
That is not my site and I am in no manner affiliated with the site or the creator of the software. I just thought I'd pass this on to others that may not know about it.
if i remember right you can remove certain windows updates then hide them and it wont pop-up again
Right and this little bit of software does the work for you, so if you like myself are not particularly savvy this makes it easy.

fair enough but its anoying having to keep removing things like old files etc from multiple installs/uninstalls
? all you have to do is uninstall patch KB3035583. No need to install some dodgy third-party software that is also more than likely spying on you itself ?
Like I said, this has worked for me for over a month, no issues. And for someone like me who is less savvy about the nitty gritty of Windows it is easy and it works. Obviously this solution is not for you.
Could of googled your way to it just as fast as that third party tool and it takes no special knowledge.Right click uninstall.
I'm still running like near vanilla windows 7, have yet to get pop ups.
