Soilwork

Hi guys, you can call me Jacob I'm new here. So I was in logan's twitch stream the other day and he was playing Enslaved in foobar (the music player of choice for real men.) I thought he and anyone else who is interested in scandinavian metal should definitely check out Soilwork if they haven't already. Being mostly a prog guy myself, they are one of the few bands in the melodic/death domain that I still listen to, to this very day. Yeah, that was obviously a statement coming from a fanboy in an attempt to make his post seem more credible, lol.

So which album should you "acquire" first? Well any of their albums are in equal right worth checking, the panic broadcast being very experimental sounding, and something earlier like steelbath suicide has this typical gothenburg metal sound that you would expect from early In Flames, At the Gates etc.

Enjoy and let me know what you think.

Great band! I tend to like their older material though.  "Steelbath Suicide" and "The Chainheart Machine" are my two favorite.  Another Gothenburg band you should check out is Gardenian, their album "Two Feet Stand" is pretty epic.

Soilwork are excellent! Been a fan for many years. Cannot wait to get hold of the new album. The youtube previews tracks sound awesome

The promo track didn't convince me yet. But then, releasing a bad album is not their thing anyhow :D

Killer band actually.

Got their album and it's friggin' great. I'm listening to it quite often and I'm loving it.
