Hello everyone, I was wondering what the most future system I can build using the socket 2011 motherboard and CPU.
I doubt if I'm using the term future proof correctly, however what I mean is that I want to be able to upgrade the computer quite easily in the future, by putting in a powerful CPU, changing out a GPU etc...
The reason why I would like to use socket 2011 is because of the power. I would undoubtedly like something which could render videos at 1080p without there being to much hassle. I would also like to use the computer to create music on programs such as Presonus Studio One, or something in the likes or similar to Pro Tools by Avid. You'll know what I mean if you have ever used or seen the application Garage Band or Logic Pro.
I was also pondering whether an LGA 1150 or 1155 motherboard would be appropriate or whether it wouldn't be so future proof. Note: I do have an Asus P8B75-V motherboard if you would see that as a viable option to upgrade in the future.
I haven't got a clue when it comes to sound on motherboards. If I'm going in the region of audio do you think it is necessary that I should get a PCI sound card or whether it be void if the motherboards audio is of a good quality.
I think that if I went for a CPU it would be the 4820K or the 3820. However after looking at benchmarks on:
http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/core_i7_4820k_processor_review,11.html and
http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/63119-intel-i7-4930k-i7-4820k-ivy-bridge-e-review-6.html
It shows that the i7 4770K is better than the i7 4820K, so I'm thinking maybe I'd be better off with an i7 3820 CPU which I believe you can overclock and since it is cheaper than the i7 4770K. Geekbench results also show very similar performance once both are overclocked.
I'm still wondering whether getting an LGA 1150 motherboard would be beneficial however I feel that I want something which would definitely last. Please give your opinion on the matter.
I think that I should mention that I'm be no means the world's biggest gamer, I do though like playing games but I feel not as much which would make me want to class this as a gaming pc.
Or should I spend the extra to get an i7 3930K which might be more future proof and it has been coming down a lot in price recently so hopefully it'll be worth the money more soon. It has been getting near to 30 000 on Geekbench overclocked which compared to the i7 4820K is worth the 100 pounds more, (not entirely sure on US dollar pricing) and is around 140 pounds over the i7 4770K.
I'm not sure on the motherboard, case or PSU of the build. I know case is down to personal preference although if any of you know a practical case which doesn't look too flashy with giant sparkling lights, but more subtly and not too expensive.
I think an Asus or Asrock motherboard would be good for the build, but please do fill me in on that if you want to.
It would be really helpful if you just perhaps list the parts or use a PC partpicker link.
I'm not too sure on the budget, although you should find the pc partpicker link something to guide yourself on. Although feel free if you think that another part would be more future proof for another 100 pounds or something like that to go over.
What SSD would be the best to price/performance?

I cannot thank you enough for the time you have given to read Forum Post and if you give me a reply.
