I met Hansi once when they finally played my area after a decade hiatus. It was happenstance, we shook hands and smiled, talked about the weather, and two hours later I was the most enthusiastic in the crowd of maybe 80 people in a venue that I had seen packed with hundreds before… that venue no longer exists.
Seeing this thread made me stick on some Dream Theater, I guess that counts right, prog metal?

Apparently Portnoy is back and they are/have released a new album.
And it totally counts. 
How much has actually changed in three decades? Are humans truly the “superior” animal? I’ve witnessed cats, opossums and racoons being lovey and friendly to each other, completely different SPECIES, yet humans can’t even get along with each other or even show some common decency. Maybe I just live in an area full of shit, but my experience hasn’t been great.

This album came out when I was 21. I wasn’t brought up in a super religious family, but I tried out Christianity in my teens (my best friend laughs and says it sounds like I was playing around with drugs, and he wouldn’t be wrong!), yet still people act like zealots no matter the subject and can’t have an educational discussion without thinking that they are the only one that is correct.
I sometimes wonder if the internet and social media CREATED more narcissists or if it just OUTED something that was already inherent in human civilization for millennia.
