One of the greatest bands to ever exist. Quite literally the Iron Maiden of Japan. I also highly recommend the documentary about them, “We Are X”.

hide is my favourite guitarist of all time. His signature guitar before he passed was yellow with red hearts and one single black heart, not shown in this video.

Guilty gear has some guitar heavy instrumentals. a couple songs include vocals, for example, big blast sonic and shotgun&head

Daisuke Ishiwatari… mmm. Great work on the BlazBlue soundtracks, too.

Long story short, I got into Blind Guardian about 3 months after they swore off ever performing in Florida again; fast forward to early 2010s… I was ecstatic, but the venue was damn near empty. I did get to meet Hansi, though. Super nice, sweet person.

Theatre of Tragedy is great. That 5 FPS video, though… I’ve never felt motion sickness before. Now I understand it.

Don’t watch the video, listen to the music…
I really liked Theatre of Tragedy with the new vocal, after Liv Kristine left…

I usually do, but I like videos, too. lol I wasn’t prepared for it.

Liv Kristine is like Tarja Turunen; talented, yes; easily replaced with someone more talented that isn’t a diva, also yes.

Bloodbound are quite obviously influenced by Iron Maiden in, well, everything except vocals, because Urban Breed (pretentious as his stage name might be).

Humour absolutely belongs in ALL music.

No offense to any religious folk out there.

The first power metal song that I ever heard. I was really into the Gothenburg bands as well as a lot of stuff that, at least around here, no one had ever heard of. When I heard this… there’s so much happiness in that guitar lead. I became addicted to power metal ever since.

No espresso or ristretto for this song, probably a nice chilled mocha latte.
