I just watched Logan's newest video about Gaming Audio Myths and while it covers quite a bit to get the best audio output, but what are we supposed to do about Microphones? I know there are options like Blue's variety of USB microphones but I really don't want a microphone that sits on my desk; I would rather have something like the Modmic that clips onto your good headphones. The problem I see with the external DAC that they were showing is that it has no microphone input, so what would be the solution to get the best audio input?
A cheap behringer mixer or art preamp are the 2 best solutions I've found around $50
some have usb some don't.
I use a behringer 802 non usb, for just the preamp, going into my onboard line in.
presonus audiobox usb is the best one in my opinion for the money.
