So Tom say the HD 7970ghz is on the same level as GTX 780

How accurate is this chart?

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

look up benchmarks instead of blindly following what websites say, find the right card for you based on the benchmarks, how much it cost and is it right for your system

It depends on the game. It is quite possible for the 7970 to match the 780.

However, in Nvidia optimised games, the 780 can have a 20FPS margin over the 7970. Which is ridiculous performance!

Expensive card, though. I would recommend grabbing a 7950 and overclocking it.

What are you doing not playing TW:RII?

Yeah I know that's the best way but I was posting that cause Nvidia just release that card, to me it shouldn't be even on the same tier as AMD old card.  Specially, when you look at the price difference.  I'm not purchasing it I was just pointing that out.  I wish i could afford either of those cards.

I love Rome 2, by the way. And to answer the questions you had before:

I'm playing everything on extreme presets, and I still get dips to about 20 FPS. Because it isn't a "first person shooter", it is still playable at that performance level. Zoomed out I get a solid 40-50 FPS at 1440p.

Why are YOU not playing Rome 2?

its got about 20ish percent on the 7970ghz more or less depending on the games sampled.

This chart is BS, I own the 780 gtx CU from asus and the 7990.
A 7970 even the matrix platinum can't get the same performance of a 780.

+1 clearly your best bang for buck. Especialy if you're not caring about long term, aggerisve overclock 7950 is a great 3rd place.
