And my old PC has integrated graphics. If I get a monitor that can switch between the two, or a KVM switch, should I just get an extra PS and run my xeon workstation quadcore as a slave. And my ryzen r7 1700 my gaming with my r9 280 in it?

PS as in Power Supply?
If my assumption is correct, I never recommend running open air setups unless you are working on a bench, testing stuff. Put that thing in a case.
