So I was hoping to use BURG or a similar bootloader

you will have to forgive me I’m fairly new to this whole thing. I decided to try and change my bootloader to something a little more aesthetically pleasing. I followed the commands to try and install BURG

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/burg
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install burg burg-themes

on the install line I get an error

Reading package lists… Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information… Done
E: Unable to locate package burg
E: Unable to locate package burg-themes

I’m not sure what to do. If burg isn’t even available anymore is there another option?

Afaik BURG has been abandoned for some time already…
If the aesthetics bother u, just hide the GRUB menu.
Drop the countdown timer to 1 second too while ur at it.

Thanks for the sarcasm. I figured out how to get themes for GRUB problem solved.

@weekendgameguy could you share your solution?

After a fair bit of research I ended up finding out how to install themes in grub. Found a few collections and just tracked down one that had a look that worked for me.
