Ha! i have 2 R9 270xs and a Hyper x 212 evo with two fans and 4 system fans. And i keep all of them at full blast. and my PC stays nice and cool with a 500Mhz overclock on the CPU and 400Mhz on the GPU's lol and my CPU runs at 40C and GPU's never pass 50C

Why? You can probably still have all that overclock and most of that temp and back off the fans. Whatever just seems a waste.

I'd be a bit worried about the fan lifespan.

Do what you want, but a weak 500 MHz OC on a cpu is not worth it. The amount of power draw, and wear 'n tear on those fans to boot. But as long as you're happy with it, gl.

Man.. the amount of time, effort and money I spend trying to keep my system as quiet as possible.. I almost wish I didn't care.
