So I Got a Pair of Beyerdynamic T70P

I was on a search for a pair of headphones I could use for travelling and public use. I was originally leaning to the Sennheiser Momentum Over Ears, and after having a pair of HD700's I realized I don't really like the Sennheiser sound personally. Then I came across the T70P on ebay for $350. I have had a pair of DT880's before and I really enjoyed them, so I went for it.

These headphones are extremely good quality, but what else should be expected of Germany. They are very light and comfortable. If you liked the valour on the DT series headphone you will love this material. The pads have a soft non leather material, but it's not very fuzzy like the valour so it doesn't catch hair as easily. The headband is also filled with foam and is made of the same material.

These sound amazing. They are a closed back design with a surprisingly large sound stage. I personally listen to rock and metal, and these did their job. The bass drum is nice and punchy without being floppy. The highs are nice and crisp. The mids have are noticeable without being subdued. The best part about all of this is that I didn't have to use a headphone amp to achieve these results. I'm definitely sold on the Tesla technology from Beyerdynamic.
