Well I haven't really built it yet. I'm waiting for the parts to arrive. Here is my entire setup: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vYVo. I already have some of the "parts"(the Dell 2007FP, Win7). Any thoughts?
That is a great looking build. Happy building :D
Looks amazing!
I would've done something different for my personal needs (which is mainly gaming, drawing, 3d rendering), still I deeply envy you :D
Have fun building, in a few days I will as well!
That's cool actually, are you going to be using the dual monitor setup like...24" for games, 20" for whatever just so you aren't like...locked into the game I guess?
I've thought about doing something like that for a while which is why I ask.
That's exactly what I'm going to do lol
MSI Z77A-GD65 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Cooler Master CM690 II Advanced ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports. Just in case you didnt know that.
Don't worry, I know that lol
I felt kind of silly mentioning it. But you never know. So i figured it he already knows good but if he doesnt well then i could save him some trouble.
It's a nice build, but I have some issues with it. It's probably mostly personal preference though.
I really don't like MSI boards, mainly because of their horrible bios (It makes it really hard to overclock and update the bios).
I probably would have gone with Western Digital as far as hard drives are concerned, but I don't have any personal experience with Seagate. I know they used to be one of the best HDD manufacturers out there, but I've heard they've been having issues with high drive failure rates recently. I can't comment on whether or not that's actually true though because I've never owned a Seagate drive.
I would have gone with a 7970 instead of a GTX 670. They're the same price, and the 7970 will give you overall better performance.
I don't know if I'd ever buy a Corsair builder series PSU. They're Corsair's low end of PSUs, which means they're still good, but I would have at least gone with one from their TX series.
Windows 7 Ultimate was a waste of money unless you need the extra language pack and a file encryption program.
I would have gotten a mechanical keyboard.
I do love the case though. I'm surprised more people don't still buy this case nowadays. It's an amazing little mid tower with tons of expansion for fans.
