So, I Choose An Intel/AMD Rig

Basically I am overhauling my PC and I made 2 hypothetical upgrades on the CPU MOBO and Cooler,

Finally I need to know do I choose my 4770k build or my 8350 build, I am mostly a gamer and my fav game is BF4, which one does better than the other I don't even care if it is by like 1 FPS, But also I want a CPU that will be playing games like this for years to come.

So which one?

Dude this is like your 10th post about this I swear make up your mind

I'm sorry bro, it's a big decision you know about a 500$ investment

Yeah I think everyone made their opinions felt....

Either system is a good choice and will run BF4 and pretty much any other game for at least the next few years just fine...

Personally I would go AMD, just because I prefer AMD although I do have several Intel systems, and because Mantle might offer something interesting and with what I do I take advantage of all the cores. It would also prob be a little cheaper.

But, trying not to be rude here, that doesn't really matter because you'll just pick whatever one you want and ignore everyone's advice or just refuse to read their posts, or misread them, and then make another topic. Just pick one and build and be a happy gamer please....

buy a FX8350 and a Asus 990fx Pro and be done with it and save some money the I7 is not that much better in games.  I have a 3770k and compared to my friend with an fx 6300 its not really that big of a difference in most games.  Just put the money you save into other things for your computer the CPU is not the most important part the gpu will give you more fps.

You think I ignore everyone's advice?

Not everyone's but you did ask the same question a few times when the answer had already been provided, multiple times.

Really, the CPU isn't even that huge of a deal. Most modern games are much more GPU dependent anyway.

I know, but I needed a new mobo, and I kinda am leaning on intel, in BF4 will I get better fps?

Well get an new AM3+ mobo. If you wanna go Intel, go Intel. They will be pretty much the same. Mostly dependent on the graphics card. However, once Mantle comes out, the 8350 may see a larger performance gain,

Just get the FX-8350 with the ASUS M5A99FX and be done with it.  The 8350 is really good for BF4, probably better than the i5/i7 because it's optimized for AMD thanks to the $8,000,000 they payed EA.

Just get socket 2011 and call it a day.

coin flip or something, but hands down 4770k winner.

If you're on a budget it's best to go with AMD, the price for performance is fantastic. If you have a bit of money to play with, it'd be better to go with Intel.

I think ur right about that

Try the 6350 for gaming, it's $60 cheaper than the 8350 and is basically the same thing -2 cores.

$140 FX 6350, $200 FX 8350

Optionally the FX 6300 is $110 right now and can easily OC up to the 6350. A typical decent AM3+ board runs like $90-130, so choose your brand/features/bios, I'd recommend something from MSI, I love their software/bios on the AM3+ boards. I'm sure ASUS is willing to compete though.

I'm still rocking my 1090T OC to 4Ghz with a R9 280x and it runs bf4 fine. No issues. It is pretty much a FX6300 only older. GPU is the main factor now a days. So I would Probably go intel now just because of PCIe 3.0. No it is not being used to its fullest yet. But who knows about the future? I had a intel q6600 for a while. It had PCIe 1.0 and it could not run any of the new "PCe 3.0" video cards. It is going to cost more money for the intel set up but I think you are going to get the maximum amount of mileage out of it. But If you are like me and love building computers mileage may not be an issue. Sometimes I try and find and reason to build a new computer.
