So I am ready to build my PC except my room is all carpet, which I know is a hotbed for static. Is it ok to build my PC on top of my wooden desk even with the carpet on the floor?
Just use a anti-static wrist band and wear shoes and you will be fine. I have carpets and touch my case while modding my system, and it works fine.
