So a few months ago i decided to build a new gaming system cause my laptop is slowly but surely dying.. yes I've seen the Tek Syndicate videos but i want to learn the community choice .
So my budget is 970 USD
And if you have any free time right now or whenever you see this post it would be lovely if you could give me a build suggestion (basically point me to the right direction) this would be much appreciated and thanks to anyone that actually wants to help . :D
this would be a pretty good way to go http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Otdt
In my opinion, this would give you the best price/performance ratio available. And if you want to, it is possible for you to tweak this system for a bit with oc :)
Question why would you suggest the fx 8320? what are its benefits? not to be mean or anything just wondering :D
Basically it is a lower binned FX 8350, but performs simularly, with a lower price tag, and can be easily overclocked to perform even better, than the stock 8350.
Why i suggest to get the amd, is because it ha significantly better price/performance ratio, than the intel i5's, and in gaming, they perform neck to neck. But with the FX 8320, you are getting 8 cores, compared to intel's i5, wich has only 4 (yes i know intel's cores perform better, but generally in gaming, the FX 83XX processors give the same performance, with much lower cost.) But when it comes to streaming and such, the FX 83XX processors are LOADS faster than i5's due to the extra cores. And future games will start utilizing more than 4 cores, so the FX 83XX processors will get even more powerful
The i5 is better at gaming when you use less then 1080p. but overall the 8320 is better and cheaper.
And if you plan on playing Bf4 and upcoming Mantle Certified games i would change the 770 to an AMD R9 290 or and 280x because it will boost your performance.
i would chooce the 770 over the 280X or 290, since it is significantly cheaper atm. But they are all good cards, get whatever fit's the budget
my budget can only get ASUS R9 270X or a gpu along that price cause i need a screen aswell ;p
R9 270x better competes with Nvidia's GTX 760. Research both of them before you commit to one side.
well, didn't check US prices, But for me the 290 is cheaper then the 770, that's why i recommended it.
