So accepting the rumors about the Nintendo NX as true. It will have A Terga X1 which is a CUDA capable GPGPU and also include volunteer computing capabilities.

For those that do not know the term:

So you could theoretically hack the device, load a linux OS with CUDA and BIONIC tools and use other people's devices for HPC, big data or scientific computing?

Also how good or bad could this end up?

Something more useful for evil in the UK at least would be a sky tv box with such a feature since so many people have them, hide it in the small print, good to go

When I first heard the term cloud computing I assumed it meant we could have fairly weak consoles that could be capable of offloading work in their downtime (always on) for the rest of the cluster of local units in order to create massive complicated gaming worlds, I was wrong
