Apple has all but sold them out for consumers now already. The mac pro’s are outdated and junk even brand new for the price…Mining pushing video cards into orbit aside.
There is no jobs now and the apple’s goal is profit. Consumers is clearly the target. Sell millions not thousands.
This is why I’m so concerned that an Apple proprietary codec, ProRes, has become so widely adopted by industry, when in reality they don’t care about creative professionals anymore. All TV broadcast now has ProRes as the deliverable. Imagine if they abandoned that and never released the APIs for the codec and stopped third party licensing, but STILL HELD ON to the intellectual property…
The death of Quicktime for Windows really screwed over everyone editing ProRes on Windows.
